Government-Funded & Private Clients

Government-Funded Services

MHA Care receives funding from the State and Commonwealth Governments to provide subsidised services to eligible customers under the following programs:

Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP)

You will require a formal assessment in order to determine eligibility and individual service needs to receive subsidised services under these programs.

Customers are required to pay a small contribution towards the cost of services.

Waitlists may apply for CHSP and HACC PYP services.

Private Customers

MHA Care also provides services to customers who are not eligible to receive government subsidised services, or would rather just purchase services privately.  Other organisations may also purchase services from MHA Care on your behalf.

There is no waiting list for private services, and you will not require a formal assessment.

Private customers may choose to purchase any of the services that MHA Care offer on a one off, short term or regular ongoing basis.

Funded Home Care Packages

If you have a Government Funded Home Care Package, MHA Care can provide you with all of the support you need to coordinate the care and services that best meet your needs and goals.

You may choose to purchase your Homecare Package funded services through MHA Care, even if your package is managed by another organisation, or you can request to have your Home Care Package transferred to MHA Care from your current provider.

By choosing MHA Care as your Home Care Package provider,  you have a single point of contact for all of your care needs.

MHA Care is a local provider and operate on a not-for-profit basis. We do not charge daily care fees, set up fees or exit fees.

A flat fee is charged to cover the cost of Care Management and Package Management.

By keeping Homecare Package fees as low as possible, MHA ensures that you are able to maximise the funding available for services.

To access Home Care Package funding you will be required to undergo a comprehensive assessment to determine the help that you need and the level of services that may be best for you.
