The Yarrawonga Community Opp Shop was established in 2010 to provide MHA Care with a non-traditional source of funding to continue to meet the rising and ongoing costs associated with our operations and services, and to also help fund the Moira FoodShare program.
MHA Care provide a range of home and community care services to support individuals and their carers to live independently at home and in their local community including Moira FoodShare, Meals on Wheels, respite services, Planned Activity Groups and other in-home services.
The shop has a large range of good quality second hand items that have been donated by the community. Items include clothing, crockery, glassware, furniture, electrical items (tested and tagged), books, toys, bric-a-brac and lots more.
The community has embraced the shop in a very positive way. This is reflected in the strong donations of items that are given daily and the number of customers that walk through the doors from opening to closing time.
We are always seeking new volunteers to support our Opp Shop. Not only is volunteering a great way to give back to your community, you’ll also meet lots of new faces.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering at the Opp Shop, drop in or contact them on 03 5743 3460.
