About Us

Caring for our community

MHA Care is a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing high quality home and community care services across the Moira Shire and surrounding districts since 1999.

MHA Care receives funding from the Moira Shire Council, State and Commonwealth Governments to provide subsidised services to eligible customers under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Home and Community Care Program for Younger People.

MHA Care are approved providers for Home Care Packages, Veterans Home Care, WorkCover and Transport Accident Commission.

We also provide services to customers who are not eligible to receive government subsidised services, or would rather purchase services privately. Other organisations may also purchase services from MHA Care on your behalf.

MHA Care is governed by a Board of Management which is made up of independent representatives from the local community.  The Board is committed to the adoption of ethical conduct in all areas of its responsibility and authority.

MHA Care is a not-for-profit organisation; the support of our community ensures we can continue to provide a high level of service for our clients.

There are a number of ways that you can support MHA Care, including volunteering or making a financial donation. We also provide a range of employment opportunities across our many service areas.

Home Care

We provide advice and assistance to improve or maintain a persons capacity to manage everyday activities.

Home Care Packages

MHA Care is a registered provider of Government-funded Home Care Packages; we operate a not-for-profit model.

Personal Care

We provide assistance with self-care tasks, mobility and activities of daily living that you may be unable to manage on your own.

Respite Care

Respite Care is designed to support care relationships and strengthen the capacity of a person's carer to maintain their care role.

Planned Activities

Planned Activity Groups (PAG) offer a social, fun filled day providing the opportunity to try new things and socialise.

We offer nutritious meals that are cooked fresh daily and delivered to your door by our wonderful team of volunteers.

Home Maintenance

Our home maintenance service facilitates minor repairs and home and garden maintenance, so that clients can continue to live independently.

Moira FoodShare is operated by MHA Care and run by a coordinator and a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers.
